Jowar (Sorghum Millet): Gluten-free, high in protein, rich in dietary fiber, good source of some vitamins and minerals such as Niacin, Magnesium, Potassium, and Phosphorus, what’s not to love about Jowar. Its low glycemic index helps in maintaining blood sugar and cholesterol levels. Promotes regular bowel movements, and helps in weight loss by keeping cravings at bay. Especially good for dogs who are overweight or have diabetes. Truly a superfood!

Ragi (Finger Millet): Why should Jowar hog all the limelight? Gluten-free, relatively high in protein, rich in dietary fiber, good source of Calcium and Potassium – Ragi is another superfood. Its medium glycemic index helps regulate blood sugar levels and keeps cholesterol in check. Its high dietary fiber keeps the dog satiated and promotes healthy digestion. Again, good for dogs who are trying to lose weight.

Both Jowar and Ragi, which the West has recently discovered as ancient grains, have been consumed in India for ages. They are essential for energy production, bone health, and contribute to the overall health and well-being of dogs.

Brown Rice: Gluten-free, storehouse of energy, rich in certain vitamins and minerals such as Niacin, vitamin B6, Manganese, Magnesium, and Selenium, Brown Rice is good for maintaining skin and hair health. Its low glycemic index helps with weight management and heart health.
